Mask - Raven by Trevor Hunt c2006
The Raven a large Black bird and the rare White Raven is one of the most important beings in Northwest Art he is the Trickster, Transformer, and attributed to the discovery of fire. He is part of the Hamatsa or Cannibal dance. This mask measures 36 inches in length by 7 inches wide and 9 inches high, with the Cedar Shirt it measures 43 inches long by 7 inches wide and 21 inches in height. It has the detail lines carved and knife finished. the main mask is Red Cedar with the lower jaw being Yellow Cedar and Cedar Bark and Rope.
